A — Eligibility

He/She must be an HND holder or it is equivalent in any Engineering field
He/She must have completed NYSC or possess an exemption letter
He/She must have had 4 years post-graduation experience

B — Application Process

He/She must download, fill and submit the registration form and pay the necessary fees.

C — Exam and Interview

He/She will undergo a compulsory exam and interview after submitting the application form.

D — Induction

He/She will be inducted after passing the compulsory exam and interview.

Membership Grades, Qualifications and Registration Fees

1. Corporate Members

To be eligible for election or transfer to this class, a candidate must:

(a) Academic Qualifications:

B.Sc. Engineering
HND Engineering
HNC Engineering

(b) Experience:

Three (3) years' experience in practical Engineering work (2 years supervised by a Technologist).

(c) Interview:

Submit written papers and attend an interview if required.

Fee: ₦120,000.00

2. Graduates

Open to newly graduated Engineering students without adequate experience:

Must be from a Council-approved institution.
(a) Not under 21 years of age at time of application.
(b) Evidence of NYSC discharge or exemption.

Fee: ₦80,000.00

3. Associates

(a) Academic/Work Path:

Not less than 21 years of age.
5 years continuous employment in a responsible science/engineering position.

(b) OND Level Path:

Not less than 18 years of age.
2 years continuous employment after qualification.

Fee: ₦100,000.00

Original copies of the bank teller and the completed membership application form with all relevant documents should be sent to the Vice President of the Zone or the Branch/Chapter Chairman of the State where you choose to write the examination.

Fill the Form

Complete all sections in block letters including Personal Info, Education, and Employment history. Obtain signature of Chapter Chairman/Secretary.

Gather Required Documents

Detailed CV, Engineering Certificates, Passport Photos, and Technical Write-up (1,000–5,000 words).

Make Payment

Make full payment to: UBA PLC, Account: 1002401732. (See fee breakdown table below).

Submit Your Application

Send teller and documents to the Vice President of your Zone or the State Branch/Chapter Chairman.

Exam and Interview

Mandatory professional examination and interview will be scheduled after review.

Induction

Formal induction upon passing. Note: Membership forms part of COREN registration requirements.
